Jacob H. Basta
Jacob Basta is a California attorney who represents injured workers throughout all stages of the workers’ compensation process. His practice is centered on helping clients navigate complex claims, secure appropriate medical treatment, and obtain the benefits they are entitled to under California law.
He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of California, Irvine School of Law, where he developed a strong foundation in advocacy, legal analysis, and client-focused representation. Prior to law school, he completed a double major Bachelor of Arts at the University of California, Santa Barbara, building the academic background and discipline that continue to guide his work today.
He passed the California Bar Examination in July 2025 and was sworn in to practice before the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board. This marked the formal beginning of his practice representing injured workers in proceedings across California.
In his practice, he is known for a direct and client-centered approach, prioritizing clear communication and consistent advocacy to help injured workers move forward with confidence.
In his current practice, he is directly involved in the day-to-day management of workers’ compensation cases from the moment they are opened through their final resolution. He takes an active, hands-on approach to case development, ensuring that medical treatment issues, discovery, and claims strategy are addressed promptly and effectively. By maintaining close oversight of each file, he is able to anticipate challenges early, streamline communication, and keep cases moving efficiently through the system. His focus is on delivering consistent attention to detail while advocating for injured workers at every stage of the process, with the goal of achieving the best possible outcome in each matter.
